WILEY BOY
I am the very last of the New Mexico rescue of 334 bunnies from last
year! I am a neutered (10/7/09) boy who cannot decide if I am a Lop or
not, so I keep my right ear up & my left ear down. I became an AFRP
Rescue bunny on 10/9/09. I endured a very long car ride all the way from
New Mexico & am happy to be here where the people treat me like a king!
I am well trained and extremely well behaved, clean, potty trained, and
always hungry for treats. I prefer to have a space to hang out in all my
own, a pen or proper sized cage. I don't love being held but like to be
around wherever the action is. I am extremely lonely and would love to
pair up with a spayed girl! I have been in the system for a long time
now and would really appreciate that one special person to connect with.
Won't you please consider me. I am Available for fostering or adoption
today!

POLLY
POLLY is an independent, gorgeous
English Spot. She has the quirky FLOP ear syndrome to keep her
alert, but when she's relaxed she lets them flop! She loves
attention and would be just fine as your one and only. She's
about a year old, healthy, playful, intelligent and cute. She's
ready for a home where someone has the time and interest to
spoil her. She came to us spayed from the East Bay Rabbit
Rescue, Livermore, CA. POLLY is available for FOSTER or ADOPTION

MILLIE
This sweet adorable girl
was dumped outside the
Harden Valley Ranch Vet
Clinic parking lot in
Salinas. They caught her
with a net and put her
in a special room until
an AFRP volunteer came
to pick her up. So
Millie is now in our
care as of June 24,
2010. She was examined
by the Avian Clinic and
apperars to be in
excellent health. She is
a tad confused by her
ordeal, but is already
wanting attention and
mainly proper food! She
is holdable, soft &
stunning! She was spayed
July 7, 2010 & is approx
1 year 4 months old.
Millie's partner Dash is no
longer available for adoption because of a serious illness. Please help
sponsor Dash's foster family in their quest to help him live the longest
life possible.

PING
Ping is the largest
and dumbest of all the New Mexico
group. (almost double the size). She has a large head and a small
butt - You gotta love her!
Ping is a very quite shy girl at first because of the traumatic
situation she was rescued from. Once she is comfortable she becomes a
whole new bunny! She is about 8 months old and was spayed on 9-29-09.
These two girls would prefer to go as a pair. Ping would not be a great solo bunny
as she
needs another bunny to show her how to be a bunny.
Ping
comes with her favorite green plastic ball!

the luxuries a bunny could want! She is fully recouped & soon to be
spayed so she can live a long full bellied life!
If you can provide her needs, she
is available for adoption or fostering. She was bought from a Carmel

WALDO
Passed on June 6th, 2011
Hi, I just
escaped from the San Jose City Animal Shelter. My age is unknown. I had no idea how close
to death I was, but the AFRP Rabbit Rescue folks did! A volunteer drove
all the up from Monterey to get me and keeps telling me how lucky and
beautiful I am. I had knots in my feet and hay stuck to my fur and the
tips of my ears are a little worn (because they drag on the ground Lol). The doctor says I need to gain 5 pounds.
The AFRP Rescue Rabbit Volunteer's cleaned me up and fed me goodles of greens and hay! I
devoured treats and drank bowls of water. I was neutered on Feb 10th,
2011, and am enjoying my new life in a wonderful foster home who will
fatten me up until someone wants to adopt
me.

FRAZZLE
DAZZLE DOODLE
FRAZZLE DAZZLE
DOODLE DIED today 5 May, 2011 at AVIAN. He will be sorely missed.
The following is a note
from Frazzle's Mom:
Frazzle Dazzle Doodle was the cutest,
ugliest bunny-bun ever. I renamed him Lykolean after a fictional
character of equally warm heart and bad hair-do. He was a mish-mash of
angora rabbit and who knows what else and he was four different colors
at once: brown body, red mane on his back, black tail and ear tips and
he shed grey from his under coat. He was a nest of mats when I got him
but he was so good when I went in to groom those out of him to make him
pretty. He bossed my cats around and eventually made friends with the
younger one, they'd even sleep together in the pen. He stood on his hind
legs for treats every morning and was constantly rearranging his pen
because he couldn't make up his mind half the time. Lykolean wasn't with
me long but he made me so happy with his funny face and bossy-boots
attitude, I can only hope I made him half as happy in the short time we
were together. Because he was an Angora I decided a long time ago to
save his lovely grey fur to someday make into yarn to make a hat. Come
this winter I'll be wearing said hat so that Lykolean aka "Kol Kol" can
keep my head as warm as he kept my heart.
This fuzzy
baby boy came down from the Sacramento SPCA. We consider him a precious
gift in our system & promised we would find him the very best forever
home. He is approx 4 months old, he was neutered on July 2nd. He needs daily gentle combing & a hay rack as his fur
tends to attract hay & tangles! Sweet as a button!

BIANCA
Hi! My name is Bianca. I am a 3.5
year old mini curly Rex. My birthday is sometime in June. I am
fixed so there is no worry about little bunnies running around
the house! I love to explore until I find a nice dark spot to
hide. I do the most wonderful binkies once I have explored my
surroundings and have decided it's safe. I'm a total cuddle bug
who loves to be held and pet. I love to eat Spring Green Mix,
Romaine lettuce, Parsley, Cilantro, Dandelion greens, kale and
any other dark green leafy greens that you give me. I also love
an occasional treat of carrots and apples. My mom gives me lots
of Timothy hay to munch on throughout the day. I get my daily
ration of Timothy pellets in the morning with my greens. Mom
always gives me a treat when it's time to come back home from my
play time outside of my pen. If you tell me "home", and gently
herd me in the right direction, I will gladly go home to my pen.

BRIDGIT
Hello, my
name is Bridgit and I’m a 2 year old,
female rabbit. I
was surrendered to the shelter in
January, after a short, 4-day stay with
a family where their child took care of
me. With limited space and more
animals showing up at the shelter each
day, my time was running out and I only
had hours to live when AFRP saved me. I’m a medium
sized lady with a big appetite for fun,
so I’ll be sure to bring lots of joy and
excitement to your home! I’m very
energetic and keep active by hopping
around to check things out. I’m also
very friendly and greet new friends with
bunny kisses. I am a people lover and
don't like to be left alone, ever. I
want nose rubs all the time. I am
kid, dog and cat friendly. – all that I ask in return
is a loving, forever home! Bridgit will
be spayed on March 8th, 2011 at Avian
Exotic clinic. P.S. my feet are stained
from the newspaper they used at the
shelter. They will turn white again in
time.

JESSE
We chose to have
our very own beloved Jesse euthanized on 13 August, 2010 due to severe old
age disabilities. We rescued Jesse from Susan at Rabbits and More in
Pacific Grove in 2002 (She was Approx 2yrs old). So we are guessing she was
about 9 years old. We adopted her as a friend for our "Turby". She had two
bonded lovers in her life, Turby and she leaves behind Felix. Jesse
was blessed to live a healthy life untl this last year when she developed
mobility issues. She could no longer hop or use her legs. She was scared and
suffering. It was the obvious decision to make. She had lost her "Quality of
Life". She will be sorely missed. We loved her so much! |

TINKY TOES
This is
a sweet little girl w/dainty teeny tiny legs, she is a very lucky lady!
We received a call from a distraught woman claiming when she arrived
home, a cage w/a bunny was sitting in her driveway! She had the sense to
call for help, and now lucky lady TINKY TOES is as safe as can be. On
April 6, 2010 she was spayed, only to discover she was pregnant. She is
recuperating nicely in a quiet foster home but needs a permanent family
who will adore her forever! She may even like a bunny friend to snuggle
beside & ensure her past is over & great days lay ahead. Very clean ,
well behaved, she's a perfect little HOUSE rabbit & deserves pampering.
Plenty of cuddles & kisses required!

PEPE
Pepe came
to us from the San Jose Shelter with a head tilt due to an infection
with Pasturella and E. Cuniculi. He was treated for 3 months with
antibiotics and is now feeling great. He will always have a head tilt it
seems and would do best as an only bunny or with a bunny who has tested
positive for pasturella in the past. Pepe does need a little help
keeping his eyes clean & eating some veggies he loves to be held while
watching TV! He is currently with a very special foster family. |

MOONBEAM
I am a
beautiful super dark brown Mini Holland Lop who came from a breeder who
didn't think I was "Show" worthy! I am already spayed and ready to find
my new home today. I bond easily with other bunnies and would love to
have a friend or 2. I may be a bit timid for a few weeks until I know I
can trust you to pamper me. Please believe in me so we can take on the
world together! |

MELINDA
Melinda
came to us very pregnant from the Salinas Animal Shelter in May and
delivered her babies 3 days later. Melinda is a very outgoing and social
bunny. She enjoys pets and is very curious. She will make a wonderful
companion. Melinda is looking for a loving home to call her own. her fur
is just like velvet. Come in to Posh Pets to meet this wonderful bunny
which is so full of love! |

FIFI
The
sweetest momma bunny, aka Meat Market Mamma, is still available. She was
the most popular bunny at our adoption show but no one took her home.
She has just been spayed and is ready, healthy, happy, and anticipating
her new owner any day! She is staying in a temporary foster home but
recently got notice she needs to move out. We can arrange a meeting at
Posh Pets anytime. She likes having the house to roam around in but
loves having her own little area to settle down into. She adores any
food and is gentle and sweet, a true mom! Two of her gorgeous little
bonded boys are still available for adoption too. |
