We spoke
with Joanie of the Monterey County Animal Shelter and she
asked Rescue Rabbits Rock to post this notice to the
rescue community. The shelter needs our support.
They are open to rescue, adoption, and inter shelter
transfer.
75
rabbits have been rescued from a field where they
were dumped in Marina. The Monterey County
Animal Shelter has set up a fantastic area to hold
these rabbits temporarily. They have teamed up with
the doctors at Avian and Exotic Clinic, Dr. Thomas,
Dr. Wells, Dr. Stern, who have graciously donated
their skills to perform a two day Spayathon this
week. So far
several rescue groups have agreed to take out 8-10
rabbits - This leaves 60 rabbits that need rescue,
foster and adoption. Rabbits will be available on
1-13 through AFRP's Rescue Rabbits Rock Program.
Please contact Lisa Redmond to offer
rescue or foster assistance. Email - lisabunnybuns@aol.com
or call 831 883-1734. Transport is available.
Rescued rabbits are on their way to HRS, SaveABunny,
Harvest Home and Rabbit Ears this week.
For foster set ups
and adoptions contact Lisa Redmond at 831
883-1734 or lisabunnybuns@aol.com . Lisa will be able to set you up with a
foster set up and provide training as needed.
Lisa
Redmond, of AFRP Rescue Rabbits Rock Program is
helping get the word out to others and arranging
some rescue, fostering and volunteers.
If you
can rescue even one rabbit, it will be a big help -
If the shelter can get the support they need,
medical care, spay/neuter, rescue and adoption, they
may be able to let the rabbits stay at the shelter.
The shelter is open to our support.
